Working Together to Improve Oral Health

As I have traveled through Missouri during my first year as president and CEO, I have met many dedicated dentists at component society meetings and continuing-education events. Throughout this process, many dentists expressed concerns about the evolution of the dental industry.

One of the chief concerns regarded how we manage downward pressure on provider reimbursement without compromising quality. This is a tangible and justifiable concern.

Fifth Missouri Mission of Mercy (MOMOM) Delivers $885,000+ in Free Dental Care

"I was not prepared for the emotions I felt."

That was the reaction of Rob Goren, president and CEO at Delta Dental of Missouri, following his experience as a first-time volunteer at the 2016 Missouri Mission of Mercy (MOMOM). The large-scale dental clinic provides free treatment to patients who cannot otherwise afford it. The fifth annual clinic was held this year on August 12-13, at the Silverstein Eye Centers Arena in Independence, Missouri.
